Fill in the form below to let Councillor Brenda Johnson know that you want a residential buffer just south of Twenty Road West.
If you live near Glancaster and Twenty, you have an important choice to make.
In the community directly south of your home, do you want to see:
Industrial Properties?
Or
Home/Residential Properties?
The current industrial plan:
- Does not protect or increase existing residential values.
- Is not visually appealing.
- Will increase truck noise & traffic.
We need homes in this area. Residents like you will benefit.
Industrial properties are being built south of Twenty Road West no matter what. You can help keep your neighbourhood beautiful by supporting a buffer of residential properties on the north end of this block.
Our Proposed Residential Buffer Will:
- Provide a complete neighbourhood with schools, parks, ponds, trails and forested areas.
- Single family homes, towns, and mid-rise.
- Over a ten-year period, there are $203-million in development charges to the developers, and $60-million in annual revenue, from taxes, providing a buffer and lowering the need for your residential taxes to increase.
- Your existing residential neighbourhood maintains or increases in value.
- The residential development buffers noise, trucks, lights and traffic from existing neighbours.
Additional Facts You Need to Know:
